Terry Roberts and Laura Billings wrote an article called "Thinking is Literacy, Literacy Thinking" for the February 2008 issue of Educational Leadership. February's theme was "Teaching Students to Think." In the article, Roberts and Billings discuss a literacy seminar they helped teachers lead for a 6th grade class in North Carolina. The authors give more strategies for teaching critical thinking through seminars in their book The Paideia Classroom: Teaching for Understanding.
