In the Summer 2011 issue of the Kappa Delta Pi Record, Jason Pepe of the Hillsborough County Public Schools Human Resources Division in Florida, reviewed Executive Skills for Busy School Leaders by Christopher Hitch and David C. Coley.

Pepe wrote that the authors offer "a straightforward and practical approach to leading schools. Both Hitch and Coley worked as principals and, as such, were able to adeptly describe the principalship and ways to navigate the unpredictable terrain of leading schools."
